Putting up the exterior walls really helps define the new space. We even drew in the main elements of the kitchen, the sink, cooktop, fridge and peninsula to give us a chance to walk around and make adjustments. On the south part of the project you’ll see the new kitchen walls with the kitchen window and the french door opening that will lead onto the deck. The north room will be a den/media room and part time guest room.
The first pic just shows the results of trimming the neighbor’s Magnolia – it’s beautiful, but it was in the way of putting up those walls. (It’ll all grow back – probably fuller than before.)
**Love the photo of Claude already enjoying the social nature of the new kitchen window.

You’re making good progress. Thanks for sharing!
This part goes so fast! Hope I can help with something, though not the heavy lifting. And I can always use scrap wood (not plywood) if it could shape into raised beds!
You guys are doing some serious work! Hopefully you’re having fun with it – seem like it from the pics. Claude wielding a nail gun is a little concerning, though.
